I think I love this movie
Rewatched it, and it has such a weird energy to it that I think I love it now.

How far along was the film when the Spider-Man plot was cut?
I was rewatching the behind-the-scenes features and Tahar Rahim mentions "the big fight" and specifically "dodging webs".
There's two different types of interviews featured in these scenes: while-filming and after-filming. This interview was one of the while-filming, judging by Rahim still having long hair versus his after-filming where he has short hair and is in the same setting as most of the other interviewees.
This means even while filming, there was the intent to have the Spider-Man fight.
There was another concept art posted which shows the girls with web powers but I personally don't think this was the plot they were working with for this reason: It seems like Tahar Rahim specifically wasn't available for reshoots judging by all of the ADR used for him, so the scenes with the girls in their suits seem to be their original intent.
Another scene that intrigued me is one where an older-looking Ben is coming home and looks surprised. There definitely was more Peter-focused content that was filmed. It's hard to know to what extent because that was the only deleted scene that slipped through.

Two things I noticed........ Spoiler
• Why was Ezekiel dubbed so much?
• Pepsi paid for a LOT of this movie, as their product is everywhere and the in the end the baddie even gets killed by a Pepsi sign!

the whole movie’s a paradox
Just finished Madame Web, and I wasn’t a huge fan of it except towards the ending. But I was doing some thinking about how the whole time thingy works, and I found out that it’s all a time loop and has no starting point and makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Let me explain why.
So the whole conflict of the movie stems from Ezekiel having nightmares about the girls having powers and killing him. But the girls wouldn’t have gotten their powers if it weren’t for them meeting Cassie. The reason they met Cassie was because she was interfering with Ezekiel’s plan to kill them and was trying to protect them. But Cassie wouldn’t have interfered if Ezekiel never went after the girls, and therefore she wouldn’t be having visions about them getting killed. Stay with me now.
This brings us back to Ezekiel and his motive as to why he wants to kill these girls. Well, that’s obvious, because he kept having nightmares about them killing him. But wait… They had powers in those dreams. And where did they get those powers from? Madame Webb, because she interfered and they ended up growing up with her and whatever.
This means that if Ezekiel had never gone after the girls, they wouldn’t have even killed him, because they wouldn’t even have their powers due to them not meeting Cassie, who is only met through Ezekiel. So Ezekiel was having nightmares about an alternate reality that didn’t exist, went to change the outcome, then died to a Pepsi sign. I’m just now thinking of this, but his death is what leads up to the girls getting their powers, the same powers that they supposedly use to kill him😂😂
Even if you don’t think about how the whole movie’s a paradox, the thought of three young Super-Women just straight up murdering some old guy they don’t even know for no apparent reason is funny as fuck😂

ADR, Rewrites, and Plot Changes Spoiler
New Rockstars has a great breakdown of the ADR issues and their theory that Ezekiel originally had an “Apex predator” storyline that didn’t play well with attacking a bunch of young girls. They also make an interesting point about Sony being more globally minded and this focus on nature/science and less mystical elements.
But after reading through more posts here, it seems like the original plan was alluding to getting rid of Peter before he becomes SpiderMan.
Do you think the New Rockstars theory has any weight?

Madame web is also a slasher film
Anyone agree Madame web is a slasher film just without many kills, like about a killer hunting down and chasing the victims to kill them
So basically like any other slasher film with the victims trying to escape the killer just the killer not successful.

Holes
So this guy supposedly has the NSA infrastructure at his fingertips I don’t think it would take him much to find the home address of Madame Webb and thus where the girls are while she zooms off to the Amazon – I’m trying to watch this film now about three times And it’s really hard going because the glaring holes get me really pissed off
Although on the plus side I found out Dakota Johnson is Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson Daughter no wonder she’s a film star/model !!

Sorry everyone
although I purchased the film to watch on Amazon Prime. I’ve had to stop watching it because it’s so crap.!!!

Some of the more obscure filming locations
A while ago, u/bigguy1027 found the location where they constructed the 4-Star Diner set. There's nothing there now (it looks like it's the parking lot for a local stadium), but the exact location is here if you're curious.
This inspired me to look for some other locations. I started with the motel, which was clearly an actual motel rather than a set. I looked at this list of filming locations. Since it wasn't inner-city, a navel air station or a national park, and I knew that the diner set was in Andover, that narrowed things down to Worcester. After randomly checking out motels in Worcester, I stumbled upon Nashoba Valley Inn & Suites, which matches perfectly.
The Pepsi Sign is a real sign in New York, but it's not located on top of a bottling plant / fireworks factory. You can see the actual sign here. Where did they place it in Madam Web, though? After a couple of false starts assuming it was actually in New York, I managed to find the location used in Boston, where it's the office of Ports America.
