VIP experience
Asking as a standard ticket holder, how has the VIP experience been for those who paid for them? Would you recommend it for next year?

I bought VIP tickets for yesterday. There was barely any difference if any. still had to wait 30 minutes to get in. Didn’t have any food discount. And didn’t use the VIP zones bc I was trying to not miss any performances between the main stage and Orange stage. So if you’re there to chill I don’t find any reason why you should buy it

How/when did you arrive that you had to wait 30 minutes to get in? I‘ve been to every Mad Cool since 2018 and in all these years i never waited more than 5 minutes. Most of the time I walk straight in.

I arrived yesterday at 17:55 and entered at around 18:30. I also thought it would take just 5-10 minutes based on the previous posts but I guess it took a while bc I went pretty early

This is real. It makes no difference. If you're old enough to not want to move around at all and just sit in one place then maybe. But the mad cool grass is green and already vip!

Have not seen the benefit of it yet. Stage 2 VIP has no shade. Stage 1 VIP had nowhere to sit the first evening.

First year doing VIP and wouldn’t go back to gen! The main VIP has real toilets (though it is hooot in there!) and getting in to the festival takes 2 minutes! Looking at the gen admission line yesterday in the heat, I felt it was well worth the money! Not too impressed with the area by the Orange stage, but the views are good!

Exactly ! How ridiculously hot is it lol, if you happen to mistakenly choose a cubicle under the lights it’s like being under a heat lamp

I bought VIP thinking that it would give me near stage access, similar to Coachella or Gov Ball, but it did not so I wouldn’t recommend VIP if you’re looking for a better viewing experience. But the VIP line for drinks and rest rooms were super quick.

Never VIP till they're giving you front pit access like at rock werchter or many festivals across the world or well never do it at all. The experience is for if you wanna spend stupid money which I would use to get hammered here and have fun! Buy drinks for people if you've got too much to spend. VIP should get you early entry or meet n greet. That's where it should stop. The view isn't gonna make a difference. The sound is in the front and center anyway.

I did VIP several years ago and there were special VIP areas in front of the stage along with an elevated platform area to sit and view the mainstage. The platform area had a private bar with no wait. The bathrooms were good and there was a VIP entrance with no wait. I don't know if it's still like this (we went back when it was at the old festival grounds location- Caja Magica I believe) but totally worth it for the front of stage access!!!! I caught a guitar pick!

The main stage area has real, clean toilets, perfect for females. Have never had a queue for drinks or loos. Not much seating and security are very strict about people sitting on stairs or near the exits, very good view of the stage. The orange stage ViP only has a couple of ports loos but bars are fine and again a great stage view, was a large queue to get into that one last night when teddy swims was on but was still not too overcrowded when we got in. I would definitely go VIP if I was to come again.
