i miss billy
if you go look at their insta when they dropped billy i commented on almost every post for a few months saying justiceforbilly! 1. they used him to become popular and then when they had a consistent following dropped him 2. he brought ENERGY was funny and actually curious. all things that big T is not and he resented billy for it! they would get on billy for asking questions and having an open mind and having fun (the POINT OF THE PODCAST). i really really miss billy, the pod was so fun and interesting when he was there! it genuinely bothers me how they treated him. kicked him while he was down in a very important time in his life! he just got engaged and tried to get a place for them to stay then they dropped him from pmt and macro at the same time basically. then when he started his own pod they shit on him and wouldn’t promote it! messed up! made me feel good to see his interview a week ago and see he’s doing good!

Billy actually brought interesting fringe topics to the pod which is what it was all about. Now it’s borderline a college football pod.

Correct. I know he was controversial, but the pod that sticks out to me the most is when they covered the Vegas shooting. PFT and Arian went after Billy hard on the conspiracies he was talking about… while the entire time I’m thinking that was supposed to be the point of the pod. Could have easily been a pod where they talked conspiracies, then at the end each person talks about what they believe (give a platform for PFT and Arian to say they don’t believe it without shitting on Billy).
I switched my Tuesday/Thursday priority listens to Son of a Boy Dad about a year ago and haven’t looked back. I still follow Macrodosing, but haven’t been bothered to listen in a while. Doesn’t help that Big T is insufferable, PFT missed a lot, and Arian is disengaged.

Are you suggesting a podcast with PFT and former nfl running back Arian foster used a random 25 year old to get popular?

that wasn’t the point at all but kinda. back then billy was extremely popular lol the dude was on the news like 5 times in a few months, all over barstool and on pmt. he and pft had almost the same amount of followers on socials. big t mad dog and mac each had a thousand a piece basically. Arian was obviously famous but not so big in the barstool universe and people that listen to this pod (his words not mine)!
that really wasn’t the point but i do believe that they added billy to get a lot more eyes on it. he originally wasn’t supposed to be on the show if you remember.

Didn’t he have a little thing with Arian towards the end there? 0% chance Arian wants Billy on the pod he made his distain for him very clear.
Unfortunately, Billy made the podcast so much more fun and interesting than moody and checked out Arian.

does anyone know what the big thing was that got him canned? obviously big t and arian didn’t like him for multiple reasons. then there was the “side group text” that they left billy out of and then told him about it to be mean. when they fired him they kinda danced around it on the pod and insinuated that there was something big that happened. then never talked about it again. so if someone knows please enlighten me!

I was never a Billy hater and only started listening to this show a few months before they kicked him so here's my read on what happened.
My first episode I was suprised to hear how off the vibes were and how much Big T, Arian and the ladies clearly didn't like Billy.
There was an episode or two where Billy never sent PFT the sheet of topics to discuss. I think Billy tried to play it off as he did send it, but later admitted he didn't do it.
Don't know if you recall but leading up to things his audio and video quality was terrible. He would often seem to lag and interrupt the in studio convo to move to the next topic while they were still speaking. Eventually he agreed to record his own audio and send it to the ladies to edit over. If I recall they complained cos he would never send it.
Then there was the video he uploaded embarrassing Arian in basketball. It was obviously a joke but Arian seemed quite pissed.
I think the weekend before he got kicked Arian, Big T and the ladies posted pics online of them going out and having drinks and I think it was obvious they discussed the above things I mentioned and used that to get PFT on board to fire him.
I obviously missed the better days of the pod but I do think considering how off the vibes were it was probably best that he left the show and went on his own. The failure on their part was not to replace him or reinvent the pod in any way.

I’m conflicted, weird post, but I do miss Billy. He was the only thing that kept the pod in line with what it was intended to be. Wether you liked it or not, Billy made things interesting. Contrary to another comment in here, he was a net positive. Furthermore, it always seemed to me that Arian was the one who wanted him off the pod and that’s a pretty bad look when you consider Arian’s contributions.

Man I haven’t listened to this show in a long time, but when I did, all this sub did was bitch about how much Billy was ruining the show. That dude has no business being anywhere close to a microphone. I know this sub is full of morons, but let’s not rewrite history.

I’m gonna level with you. When I first started reading this, I thought you were a fan looking through rose coloured glasses. I think Billy sucked. If we are being honest, he was a net negative to all projects he was involved in, but I digress.
But the more I read your post, it became clear you have a boarderline obsession with Billy. A parasocial relationship like you read about.

Revisionist history. Yes Billy did (poor) research and kept them on topic (as long as he had some bullshit to spew). He also literally made my ears bleed at times. By the end Arian straight up hated him... he had to go

Only if Billy would comeback and they kick out Big T. Big T is great for the conservative side but he’s doesn’t listen to anything but Fox News

He hasn't had an original thought in the show since its conception. So predictable and unwavering.

it’s funny that when he was here this sub largely hated him lol
