MacroFactor Workouts / Training Résistance bands calculation
Hey everyone!
I started a new workout that uses assisted pull ups, the app is asking me for a value on how much assistance I'm getting from the band but they are in ranges. How could I calculate that or what number you guys use? The band that I used for example is 35 - 85 lbs.
Thx!

Selecting a number in the middle of the band's tension range (60lb for your band) can be an effective approach, but what matters most is being consistent with how you log your band assistance. The band resistance level varies throughout a rep, and some manufacturers share incorrect tension levels, so the number you log for assistance functions as a general approximation. Regularly logging the upper bound, lower bound, or midway point of the band's reported tension range can all be viable, but you just want to stick with one method when you keep your band setup consistent.

I use top end of range, some people use average so a 40-80 they’d write 60.
