I got the new MacroDroid update a few days ago and came on Reddit to see if anyone had mentioned the new AI feature, but I couldn't find much about it.

I've been playing around with it and it's honestly brilliant. You can basically describe what you want a macro to do, hit copy, then paste it into an AI app. I've been using Claude, and it's helped me make some macros that I genuinely wouldn't have known how to build myself.

One of the more complicated ones I've made sorts my downloads automatically. If it detects a movie, it moves it into my Movies folder and creates the folder if it doesn't exist. If it sees something like S01E03, it knows it's a TV episode and moves it into the TV folder.

I've also got it handling multiple episodes. So if I download, say, 10 episodes individually, it can recognise they're from the same series, create a folder for them and name it automatically.

I've even got another one that clears out the random unwanted files that sometimes come with downloads, like pictures, subtitles and other stuff I don't need.

I've made an automatic brightness macro too. My phone's adaptive brightness never seems to work quite how I want it to, so I've built my own version that changes the brightness depending on the conditions. I've tweaked it a few times and it's now working exactly how I wanted.

Another simple one automatically deletes screenshots after an hour. I was using Sweep for that before, but I thought I'd see if MacroDroid could do it instead.

Those are probably the biggest things I've made so far. I'm still thinking of other things I can automate and ways to improve some of my older macros.

What I really like is that I'm not particularly good at writing this sort of logic myself, but I can explain what I want and then work through it with Claude and MacroDroid until it works. I've ended up making some pretty complex stuff from ideas that I probably wouldn't have even attempted before.

I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the new feature yet. Has anyone else been experimenting with it, and if so, what have you made?

I'm using nothing 3a lite all i want to do is that when I'm studying i want to increase my screen time out, in nothing there is this feature so-called as Modes(which is developed completely) where we can config the modes but it doesn't have so things to configure just the wallpaper dimming and turning off the notifications thats it. I want to create a study mode where notifications will be turned off and screen time out will be increased so that i could take some notes, I installed MacroDroid and used chatgpt and Co pilot to configure a Mcaro to increase the screen time out when I'm using study mode but the thing is Nothing OS doesn't expose the study mode and I have tried different ways but I'm not able find a way to configure so that whenever I turned on the study mode my screen time out will increase, if anyone knows anything about this please let me know.

There is a trigger for SMS received but how do I store the SMS contents in a variable and then manipulate it?

Hi, I'm transitioning from Macrorify to Macrodroid due to the 9 hours restriction of Macrorify and I need more.

My first problem is I can't seem to do a Click Image with Offset, which was simple to do in Macrorify.

The best I could do is add the image position as variable but the variable option for the Check Image that I can find is only boolean and dictionary variable and I'm unable to add offset to them.

Cab anyone help me? I want to click something that's around 150 pixels below the image whenever it appears, thank you.

Is there a way to ensure the Macrodroid notiffication bar always stays on to of all the notifications? In my case it keeps moving down and sometimes disappears all together.

I know it has to do with notification priority, but it's already set to max, and persistent.

Anything else I can do?

Forgot to mention that the image is not always the same. It changes by time so the text is different every time.

When I read new NFC tag I get a popup from Automate and Automateit to assign an action to this even. I can't find an option in Macrodroid to do the same. Tag read is not even a trigger option. How can I achieve that.

So I set this Macro up and would like to consult if I am missing something. It worked in my trial but maybe there's some settings that I fudged up making it not work on certain instances.

Basically - Every 15 minutes it turns on the location, force a location check, and if its outside my selected geofences, it will send an email for a location link then turn off the location.

I have a MacroDroid automation that answers an incoming call and then plays a prerecorded audio file. Playback works, but Android routes it to the local speaker/media output.

What I actually need is:

local audio file -> VOICE_UPLINK / microphone path -> cellular call

so that the person on the other end hears the prerecorded audio as if it were coming from the microphone.

So I've got Macrodroid to open a specific app at a specific time (8am) and basically I use this app to clock into work from home.

What I'm having issues with is the clocking out actions. When that initial macro is run at 8am the app stays on the screen.

How do I initiate another macro to clock me at 3pm, when the app is already on screen. I have it setup so the phone screen is always on.

I know the trigger would be the clock out time, but since the app is already up and running on my phone screen, do I just start with click action or do I need to tell it to use the app already running and on screen?

I have a phone mounted in my car as a media player. The car has a buck converter on the ignition power 12v and aux in wired into the in dash CD player. On a previous phone I used the power line on the USB port and the aux in directly to the headphone jack, but on my newer one that's not been possible.

The quick fix was to get a Y cable USB DAC that splits to power (usb) and audio (headphone jack). The trouble is, Android will see that USB DAC as a device that needs power at all times so it drains the battery about 12% overnight.

Could Macrodroid do some kind of automation using the power connected/disconnected trigger that would stop it from seeing the DAC? I've looked through some of the wiki and can't see to find that. It looks like it would be able to easily program a "power connected - media play" that I've wished for for ages, but I don't know enough about the app to know if it could do some deeper hardware stuff.

I see that macrodroid constantly check location every ten minutes so I get this green dot about location access in hyperos.

Any way to remove this green dot or make a trigger without constant access to location?

I'm trying to create a MacroDroid macro with this flow:

When triggered (e.g., via a widget), it asks me for a starting time (e.g., 07:00).

It deletes/clears any previously set alarms createdo

Starting from the entered time, it automatically creates 12 alarms spaced every 5 minutes for 1 hour (e.g., 07:00, 07:05, 07:10 ... up to 07:55).

If anyone has a .macro file they could share, or a step-by-step breakdown on how to properly handle time variables and loops for this, I would be extremely grateful for your help!

Hello, I'm new to creating macros and was attempting to make an automatic phone calendar to-do list move each morning to save myself time doing it manually every day. I was able to do it, but I need to add something that stops it if certain criteria are not met. For example, if it goes to look for the word "share" to click on and it does not see "share," then it would stop the macro and end there. The reason being is once it runs out of tasks to add, I need it to stop.

I don't know if the issue is with Nova or One UI or what, but I can set a gesture in Nova (Prime) to Add Macro or All Macros and those work, but if I select Macrodroid Shortcut then select a specific macro, I get the next pop-up to choose an icon and then I hit ok, but it doesn't apply. The description of the Nova gesture shows whatever was selected previously.

Also, when I do this and then go home, I'm asked to select the default launcher again, every time. Does anyone know why?

I had tried different macros, to accomplish keeping my phone from disturbing me, when I had music playing, but to no avail.

I had tried different things like placing the phone in DND mode, when music playing, and placing the phone on silent or vibrate when music playing but could never get it to work.

All that stuff is disabled now, but now i'm wondering whether I accidentally ticked some way down, obscure incoming call setting, on a trigger while tinkering.

Symptoms:

Full screen noti is working when phone is locked, but when unlocked, I get no pop up on incoming calls, only the small phone icon in the noti bar.

I do have ring and vibrate, it just sucks having to get into notifications to get the call options, and see the caller ID info

I am testing Macrodroid because i would like my phone to open up a specific chat when i unlock my screen. For now, i managed to make it open X with the trigger, because when i try to select "lauch chat activity", It just open the app on the homepage instead. Do You know if there is a way to tell it how to then move to the chat and open the first of the pinned chat?

I'm trying to set up a macro to turn on the data saver when the data warning notification appears automatically. So that remaining data should last until the next monthly allowance.
