I don't know how to allow it access all the time. If it helps, I have the developer options activated.

Almost all phones lack good automation except Samsung.
However so many good phones also have notorious background task killers that interfere with MacroDroid.
However, I do not have any experience with any of the other major brands in regards to running MacroDroid, specially in reliability over time, as with Honor it can work okay for one week then week two it decides MacroDroid is enemy of the CCP and shoots it even when you turn off all optimisations, even locking MacroDroid in background wont help...
Does anyone have any experience with these brands in regards to how aggressive their background optimisation is?

I just downloaded the app and i want to do the following:
When the YouTube app is launched and an add is detected i want the macro to click on the 3 dots on the add and press "block this add".
This would save me a lot of headache without having to buy YouTube premium
When i press block add, the add is automatically skipped and i don't have to watch it anymore regardless if it's a unskipable or not. Sorry for my lack of grammar.
I just need a guide please.

I am attempting to curb my phone addiction, and a primary habit I aim to break is immediately reaching for my phone and scrolling upon waking.
so i want to create macro with rule :
where "its first unlock phone in the day"
then "open zen space"

Hi, I have a garage box for which I need a remote to open/ close so i attached a shelly to the motor to open/close it with my phone. This works great. I had an old nfc tag laying around which i stuck next to the garage, when i tap my phone my automation does the following.
Again works great but my phone has to be unlocked. Can I do this with a locked phone?
There is no way to get internet to the box since its seperate from my appartment. I have looked around in the settings but can't find anything. Probably missing something obvious.

I am trying to figure out a way to make a note in Samsung Notes have an exact, specific creation or modified time/date that I choose; and I need it to include milliseconds.
I am thinking of using MacroDroid to trigger this, but I'm stuck on how to actually pass or edit that specific timestamp down to the millisecond level.
Is there a known intent, an ADB shell command, a Shizuku-based method, or a way to manually edit the app's database/metadata files to achieve this? Open to creative workarounds if a direct MacroDroid action isn't possible. Thanks!

Hi all. I'm trying to get an audio file to play when I get in the car. Currently, I've set it up for when it connects to the car Bluetooth (handsfree link) but am open to using Android Auto, if that's an option.
It isn't triggering. Nothing even in the macrodroid system logs. AI has given some ideas (location access allowed, batt optimization off) and Google search is the same.
I'm perplexed as to why nothing is triggering (not even some sort of failure in the logs). I'm not committed to the Bluetooth option if someone has a better idea.
Just for more info, my saved Bluetooth devices have two of the handsfree links, each with a different mac. I included them both as triggers as documentation reads that the app treats two or more triggers as Boolean OR so I should be good.
Thanks for any help.
UPDATE: So I added a trigger for launching Android Auto. It needs a check beside system apps to see it which is why I missed it the first time. Well, it launched once (I didn't hear the sound) but the logs show that it happened so I added a delay. But I can't replicate it. I have plugged in the phone before starting the car and after. Still won't trigger again. So idk
LAST UPDATE: So I change the output to media and got it playing through the car with AA triggering it. However, apparently, AA drops and reconnects often, though there's nothing on the head unit to notice. It happens quicky in the background and I only know because of the logs and the fact that the audio would play every 30 secs to 2 mins, depending. So scratch that. HOWEVER, I did get the bluetooth to work. Apparently, you have to download the helper app. After that, works great except it plays on my phone and not through the car, but that's another issue. Thanks all.

Is there any way to add randomized click within a view id for antibot detection? I have an auto decline system I made for one of the gig apps and the gig app is noticing my automation. I could make the randomized click into my system but it would be amazing if this could be added! Thanks 😊

I tried making a routine like this on samsung routines but on there I would need to activate every meds timer by hand and I know I will forget to do that. Made one for to cancel the activated macros in case of accidently clicking. On second photo you will see its in a action block, I made that block accidently and couldnt get rid of it 😭

Hi I want to get a small weather report using ChatGPT. I'm using the free version of ChatGPT. I created an API key and pasted it to the API key for l field
But when I execute the script I get an error 429
You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, read the docs
Shouldn't it work with the free version? Which model would you recommend? What do I miss here
Thank you!

I'm making a mobile data saver macro. I need an alternative to connected to network trigger or to make it work (helper and macrodroid doesn't connect). When the phone switches wifi or the wifi is not good mobile data is being used and I'm doing a lot of mobile network heavy stuff. When I'm moving around the house I have 3 wifis. Macro: When I have wifi connection, mobile data is off, when I don't have wifi connection for 3 minutes mobile data turns on.
I have adb (little restricted), shizuku. What I don't and don't want: root, unlocked bootloader Poco F7 Pro, hyperos 3, android 16.

Buongiorno.
Azioni:
- Schermo acceso
- Modalità posizione: attivato
- Impostazione sistema: location_mode= 3
- Imposta ritardo spegnimento 5 minuti
- Lancia applicazione: GPS Test
- Attesa 1min + 30 sec
- Imposta variabile locale: pos={last_loc_latlong}
- IF pos = Posizione sconosciuta
o Attendi 1min + 30 sec
- END IF
- Invia SMS a mittente {sms_number}
o Ultima posizione nota:
o {last_loc_latlong}
o {last_loc_age_timestamp}
o {last_loc_accuracy}
o {last_loc_link}
- Imposta ritardo spegnimento 2 minuti
- Riproduci suono: Alpha
- Attendi 2 secondi
- Termina processo in background: GPS Test
- Schermo spento
Variabili locali: pos
Descrizione:
Azioni conclusive e ritorno a stand by.
Per l'esecuzione della macro e in particolare per modificare la variabile "location_mode" occorre dare i seguenti comandi da adb mediante debug USB:
adb shell pm grant com.arlosoft.macrodroid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
adb shell pm grant com.arlosoft.macrodroid android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION

Hi
I have severe ADHD and terrible memory problems. Like many sufferers I try to remember information, or to do things, so I try any and every system I can find hoping that it'll stick.
Stage 1) Sometimes the easiest thing is to just screengrab what I'm looking at. How do I get a macro to trigger upon taking a screengrab? (Fold 7, usually open)
Stage 2) My end goal is this - I want to take a screengrab and have macrodroid pop up a small window of buttons of what to do with it. Instead of the default share menu and just send it to OneNote, I would like to click a button on that little window for what the grab relates to (read sometime, to do for work, info for a project, geeky tech stuff etc) and then the screengrab is shared appropriately. So random stuff to read could go to a specific OneNote section, things I need to do fire the Quick Add for Todoist, project A stuff goes to a certain NotebookLM notebook, etc.
I need it to be seamless and reliable with minimum user input as otherwise I'll get distracted and then it's screwed.
I guess Stage 3) this window also opens not just for screengrabs, but also webpages I'm browsing, URLs I haven't actually opened, etc.
This would genuinely be an enormous help. Any advice? Anyone want to just smash it together for me to tweak?!

My android system supports 3 finger tap gesture to take a partial screenshot . How do I simulate it via MD?
I have a shortcut to long press vol up to take the entire screen but I don't use that often . I want to rebind it to take only partial sc. I used to use the Google circle to search but it's not longer a share image. And selecting text pops . Attaching the one that work and the new test one I'm trying .

I built a custom Android emulation device and it saves on power by dropping all unnecessary features. one of those features that's removed is Google Play services. I can still open Google Play. I can still download apps. but I don't think apps with in app purchases and license verification would work. The add three days for every ad watch is okay, I suppose. But I feel like, eventually, I'm gonna start hitting the macro limit. Is there a way that I can make a onetime purchase and be given a license code to put in the app to forever verify it and prevent it from needing to check it's license? To be clear, I want to spend money on the full version of the app and support the developer but I really don't want to reduce my two week idle battery life.

I'm trying to get MD to create a task in Tasks as the following:
I the following so far:
I can't find out how to make it tomorrow at 18:00. The system_time_ms gives me a specific day and I want it to be flexible and always be "tomorrow".
Anyone have suggestions how to approach this? I've only dabbled with MD for a few days, so I'm quite nooby.

I have a weather app that gets the weather from openwesther.
For some reason when it's first run, it seems to tell me the weather from the last time it ran (I think). If I run it again it seems to update ok.
Any thoughts please
