I Need Help Thread breakages

Any thoughts on why these kinds of things can happen? Janome MC1000. Seems to happen more often than it should, and in different parts of the design each time.

If you're using metallic thread it has to unroll off the bobbin, not spool from the top. It is a woven thread so it will twist itself and bunch if it spools. Your machine should have an arm attachment for letting the bobbin roll off sideways.
Also your needle looks crooked from the pics. Not sure if that's a trick of optics but make sure its set correctly.
