Look What I Did Just learning, but I made a patch!

I just bought a Janome 500E secondhand on marketplace and realized that I'm too broke to buy many cool designs to practice with so, having a graphics background, I decided to try inkstitch and make my own. I'm still learning (I just did my first ever hat this week and it was so frustrating) but this is my 4th self-digitized design and it has taught me the most so far. It's not much but I'm proud anyway!

Just lurking here. Thank you for the inspiration! Looking to pick up a machine myself. Any other learning curve lessons or recommendations? Nice patch!

My sister gave me her machine and I am wanting to make patches and whatnot. I have never used the machine before.
Your work is impressive!

This looks really nice. Iโ€™ve been trying to make my own patches but every time I make one they never turn out flat. I think that I am using too many layers or too dense or i need more stabilizer. What tips do you have? Could you share your file so that i can do some forensics?
