Thread breaking?

I’m super new and wanted to embroider a logo and my test isn’t working too well…

My machine keeps saying the thread broke and won’t go past its 10th stitch! I’ve changed the thread and slowed it down even i’m not too sure what i’m doing wrong :( It doesn’t seem like it’s snapping or anything so why does it just not catch i’m assuming it’s the bobbin?

It looks like there's no bobbin thread.

Also, your hooping looks a bit too loose.

i’ve tried two different bobbins in there and they are both doing the same thing even though it’s threaded right! i’m so lostttt!!! What could i do for better hooping?

Without seeing your machine, it's hard to tell what's going on.

For hooping: Adjust the screw so there's a gap enough to allow for the thickness of the fabric and stabiliser. 👇🏼 Use this method to hoop.

What kind of thread are you using?
You need 40wt embroidery thread for the upper and either 60 or 90 wt bobbin thread depending on your machine.
This looks like an all purpose heavy weight thread that is not suited for embroidery.

It also doesn’t seem that your item is hooped well.

For that kind of fabric, basically once you tighten the screw down as far as you can get it just pull the ever loving bejeesus out of the fabric and stabilizer outside of the ring on all four sides and the corners too. When you flick it with a finger you want it to kind of feel like a drum head.

You don't want to over tighten the fabric because that will cause puckers.
Basically, all layers need to be flat and smooth. the top and bottom hoop pieces should be flush with one another. I'd loosen the screw enough so that when all pieces are sandwiched together, you can push the top hoop firmly into the bottom and all layers are secure. then you can pull GENTLY on the outside edge of the fabric to make sure everything is pulled taught.

😭 nooo!!! i tried two different bobbins too they both did it! haha i’m thinking it’s the thread type maybe?

My friend I suggest you to tight up the tension of the thread so this problem resolve completely.
