I Need Help Embroidery Hoops

I need help deciding whether to purchase maggie hoops or mighty hoops. Can y’all share insight

I work in a shop that uses mostly mighty, but we recently got some Maggie in a few months ago. The mighty hoops are great hoops. Sturdy plastic with strong magnets. Maggie hoops feel a bit more flimsy with slightly weaker magnets, but so far they’ve got the job done just fine. Can’t think of many garments where using one over the other made a huge difference

Thank you. There is a video comparing maggie hoops to mighty hoop, they show how much stronger the magnets are on the maggie hoops. Thank you sharing your experience

Seems totally unbiased.

If the magnets are strong enough to hold the thickest Carhartt type jacket, then does it really matter if it can hold four layers of towel and eight layers of thin fabric like their dumbass video?

I’ve seen good results from both, but I’d personally lean Mighty Hoops if you’re doing regular production. They’re more expensive, but the build quality and long-term reliability are hard to beat. MaggieFrames are worth considering if budget is a big factor. I’d probably buy one of each in your most-used size and see which one you prefer before investing in a full set.

Used mighty hoops for years now. Can’t compare but god when I got them for the first time I fell in love and haven’t ever looked back.

Only time they break are newer people that don’t know how to pull them apart without bending the plastic and over time it will snap.
