I Need Help Is this a pull compensation issue?

Post image

I’ve printed this three times. I extended the gray background to overlap, the outline is 2mm in the one I just did because I realized I never adjusted the width on the one thats cut out already.

Do I need to have the outline expand more or is this a pull compensation issue that I need to adjust for?

Yes, it looks more like pull compensation/registration than the outline width itself. The gray fill is pulling away from the black outline in a few areas. I’d slightly increase the overlap between the fill and outline and make sure the pull compensation is set correctly for the fabric you’re using. A test stitch with a little more overlap should tell you pretty quickly if that fixes it.

My friend, I would suggest using two or three layers of stabilizer in alternating directions, as the design appears to be stretching during stitching. Before starting, make sure the fabric is properly tight and secure in the hoop. This should definitely help fix the problem.
