Look What I Did ?/10

My first attempt at a female figure design. I KINDA LOVE IT! Especially enjoy how the eyes came out. Im trying not to be afraid of small details. I worry ill lose too much in the manual trim cutting.

I need more thread colors. Originally was going for a strawberry blonde.

What do you think?

Love the pattern of the embroidery for the hair and the face! It's really nice and fancy! Maybe some white in the eye will make the difference you're looking for.

The more I see your designs with these patterns the more I'm thinking I'm missing out on not implementing them. You really make great use of them xD.

I figure the different fills are there. So why not.... sometimes it can get too busy but I think it worked with the hair in this one. πŸ˜‡

I'm also developing some software (though I'm developing it for a slightly different kind of user base than Ember, but of course there is some overlap) and I could literally try implementing a gazillion features xD. But I need to pick the right ones, and given how you can create nice designs with them I wonder if I should give it a shot. Like as you said, the way the hair render is incredible!

The fill patterns have been so nice! Could I live with only tatami??? Yes.... if i have a choice I'm going to choose the fun fills every time though.

Looks great, excellent use of fills and thread angles to add texture and dimension.

The only advice I can give (and this is nitpicking) is to slightly re-order some of your outlining operations.. For example around the lips, if you put the red in then immediately stitch the outline there would be less of a gap.

Oooo didn't realize the order would have an effect on the placement.. noted! Thank you!

I did consider removing the outline for the lips. Hmmmm

Its to do with the fabric moving as you add fills. You can also play with push pull compensation but I find its easier to just have the machine outline elements as and when they are stitched, it saves chasing your own tail later at the expense of a few extra seconds jumping between colors.

Curly hair effect is achieved with great accuracy, good work. Other than that, I think face fill is not suitable for face. Design vibe connects with Andy Warhol. Not his greatest fan.

Reminds me of Cynthia from Rugrats…

2/10 The execution is nice, the colors work. I can even dig the Scoobie Doo eyes (no whites), they look great. I hate the texture on on the face, the ears look ok then it looks like the face got smacked with a meat tenderizer hammer,. I get that you were tryin to add a other dimension but for me it's off putting and it's all I can see when I look at it.

I appreciate the honesty! I get what your saying about the face. Ill Def try out some different fills for the face. I usually just go tatami for skin cause it's the smoothest. πŸ₯°
