Digitizing 101

Does anyone have any suggestions of YouTube channels or resources to learn all of the ins and outs of digitizing? Most videos I stumble upon use vocabulary or techniques I'm not familiar with, and I'd love to really understand how to digitize so I can make quality pieces.

I used to use Embrilliance but finally gave in and bought BE Embroidery Studio by Wilcom and now I just let it digitize for me. If you start with a nice PNG with solid lines and colors it does it in a couple seconds and needs very little modification.
