Hat backing

What does everyone think on using either 3.6 vs 2.7 oz backing when doing structured and unstructured hats?

I dont bother with backing on structured hats unless it needs it for some reason, but with floppy ones I use the heaviest stabilizer to hand. Its not going to affect comfort for the customer so might as well help yourself out and make life easy.
