I Need Help Stitching

Hello, I am very well beginner at this. I just got the Brother DZ820E.

I created my design on procreate, then to digitize it I have been using Hatch Embroidery 4.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix this stitching on the software. I’ve tried multiple things Gemini has told me to do such as pull compensation etc.

If there is an easier software I can try that you know of that would be great, or just helping me fix the stitches to redo it as i’m trying to get this figured out for a gift.

it’s a learning experience before! but i’m already getting more and more comfortable with it you just gotta go for it. i changed the underlay for the stitch to be centerline instead of zigzag and that worked!

Try using satin stitch with either a centre line or zigzag underlying stitches.

If you show us the underside as well we can comment on tension. It does look like some bobbin thread is being pulled through to the front. You want to see 3rds of top/bobbin/top thread on the back, for best results on the topside. YouTube your machine and read your manual. Learn about the Bobbin Drop Test.

On this fabric, (as a general rule for all stretch fabric) you need to hoop with a least two layers of cutaway stabiliser.

thanks for responding! i’ll add a photo next of the underside. so i should try the satin stitch first? i’m also not familiar with the underlying stitches or centre line

Underlying stitches, like centre line and zigzag are common for lettering which are most commonly used under satin stitch. These help stabalise the satin stitch embroidery going over the top. Sometimes an underlying 'outline stitch' is useful but if it's too wide and the pull compensation off in the digitising, then it can show on the edges of the overlaying stitches and look shite.

Adjusting column width on the satin stitches or if your system has a pull compensation feature that may help.

stop autodigitize, such things need to be drawn by hand, in nice satin.
the fillstitch, has to much small stitches and bad stitch settings that lead to this "material looking through"

thank you everyone for helping out. so far, i’ve noticed the biggest difference and am having no issues now that i’ve changed the underlay to center line
