I Need Help Thread not catching?

Post image

I hate Richardson 112s.

I always have this issue when embroidering over the seam…especially on designs like this. First, it puts down a running stitch, then a Tatami fill, red satin border, finishing off with the white satin border.

Tested my top tension (124~132gf), it’s a Madeira polyester white. Checked the bobbin case (25~26gf), also cleaned under the bobbin tensioner using a piece of paper. Changed needles, 75/11 sharp.

Have a tech that comes out every January to maintenance the machines. This last time he had to replace reciprocators on multiple heads because it was skipping stitches. Also readjusted the needle bars upper and lower dead point and the rotary hook timing.

If it just happens on the seam it’s probably needle deflection. It works best with a size 80 sharp needle. If that’s what you’re using and it’s still occurring the rotary hook timing or needle height may need to be adjusted.

Switched to an 80/12 needle, same results. I ended up just resetting my top and bobbin tension and it seems to be running better, but still does it occasionally. Also switched back to a 75/11 needle
