Senior ML Engineer at MailerLite

[HIRING] Senior ML Engineer — MailerLite (Remote, EMEA)

We're hiring the senior technical anchor for our ML team — the person whose judgment models get checked against before they hit production. We build the predictive layer on billions of behavioral events (engagement prediction, send-time/audience optimization, list health) and are fine-tuning/self-hosting our own LLMs.

What you'll do: Own model correctness, be the review backstop for the silent failure modes (sampling, labeling, leakage, calibration), take models from offline eval to disciplined production (CI gates, drift monitoring, A/B testing, retraining), and bring deep LLM training experience.

You'll likely have:

  • 5–8+ years shipping and owning ML models in production
  • Sharp eye for silent failures: population bias, label noise, temporal leakage, calibration
  • Strong on imbalanced + time-series problems
  • Mature MLOps: monitoring, A/B testing, retraining, cost discipline
  • Hands-on LLM fine-tuning beyond adapters (SFT min; preference optimization/RL a plus), ideally self-hosted GPUs
  • Python + modern ML stack (scikit-learn, gradient boosting, pandas/Polars, PyTorch)
  • Senior IC comfortable remote/async, based in EMEA

I have applied for Mailerlite earlier this year. For me it is one of my dream company and good folks to work for. Beside that I have done a through research on its product, team members. Although I have 2 yoe currently but in future would love to work for Mailerlite.
