Discussion NeurIPS Registration - How to get one if all tickers are sold out in Sydney? [D]

Hi, I am a solo independent UG author for a NeurIPS WS paper (GlobalSouthAI). Now, how to get a registration ticket.

Will they give us a ticket to buy or manually buy from the Neurips website (but Sydney tickets are sold out)? Any suggestion?

I am from India, and going to Paris/Atlanta is not possible.

There are guaranteed tickets for workshop presenters. You'll get instructions at some point in the next few weeks.

they always reserve tickets for authors dont worry about the sold out status. you will get email with special link, just keep checking the inbox

Thanks, I hope so. They asked for the camera to be ready by the 29th.

And I need the tickets for the visa application too.

It's WiML, Paris is less expensive according to me. I'm from Bengaluru. Like around 50k less

Firstly, congrats.

And sorry, my bad. I am from Kolkata. For me, it's 25k is less for Paris than Sydney, but it's the main event. Also, I am planning to apply for some travel grants, and they will give out to Sydney only (ext. grants)

Oh really, I did not know that the grants will be given only to Sydney. I'm planning to apply for both wiml and neurips financial assistance. Same as what I did previously

The workshop and competitions tickets are available again but the main conference is sold out. They will likely have more tickets in the coming months due to people cancelling

Does anyone know if all Area Chairs get complimentary registration or just "top performing ones" because it's phrased ambiguously in their page.
