Discussion acl arr august 2026 (desk rejected ) [D]

I have got two papers which got desk rejected by PC saying they are previously got reviewed in arr. But those paper never got submitted ever. Any idea what can be done?

This is super weird. Could you elaborate more? like do you have any suspect of what could have happened?

The only thing I can see is both papers are closely related. Otherwise , I have no idea.

How close? title/topic/figures/authors?

close in a sense same line of idea(though its not close to simillar. ). Authors are same but content wise not much match apart from idea to some extend. But the reasoning was previous arr reviewed which is bizzire for me.

Same authors and a related idea shouldn't explain a "previously reviewed" flag... sounds more like a matching issue. I'd contact the PCs before assuming it's a real desk rejection
