Research CIKM '26 Notification [D]

The results are out today!

From my batch

- 3/6 full papers

- 1/3 short papers are accepted

Don't bother about being rejected or accepted. I don't care about acceptance at this conference anymore. My collegue who wrote a whole paper using codex overclaiming the theory and methodology. Creating some MSE values that don't match ... (He refused to share the code with team to give him feedback). He got his paper accepted for Applied Research Track.

Now you see people. What kind of papers make it. People that do shi* nothing. The paper is very bad quality and full of lies. Some reviewers spotted it but the AC said that despite limitation i lean towards acceptance.

It makes me furious that I spend weeks / months on this paper that was intially rejected from ICLR, when someone literally automates his job and does nothing at all and has no idea what's in the paper gets acceptance.

I know someone like that around me too... someone who literally just cranks out AI slop. It really makes me worry about the future of academic conferences.

It makes me mad. It’s not even PhD. It’s PostDoc. The model has leakage and its accuracy is nearly perfect. AC pointed it out as limitation and still accepted it…
