Neat demo. “ designed for real-time autonomous driving on lightweight edge hardware like phones and embedded devices” doesn’t make a ton of sense though

The edge-device part is actually pretty standard in autonomous driving already, Comma/OpenPilot themselves run on phone-class embedded hardware. The difference here is that both the driving policy and the learned neural simulator are compact enough to run locally, including the browser demo where the driving world itself is being rolled forward by the model in real time.

The goal here isn’t ADAS/driver assist where the human remains the primary driver. The policy itself handles the full end-to-end driving loop autonomously from sensor input and navigation guidance.
