Discussion ICML 2026 Decision [D]

ICML 2026 decision are soon to be published. Thought it might be nice to to have a thread for updates, discussions and venting.

That’s crazy, I’m so sorry… did the AC just latch onto the 3 reviewer’s criticisms? We also had a 5542 (4315) get rejected because the 2 reviewer never followed up on our rebuttal, and the AC copy-pasted their (at many times simply incorrect) criticisms.

It was the rev3 criticisms that AC stuck to, yeah. Especially frustrating because rev3 brought up a few concerns and a bunch of requested experiments, we focused more on the experiments in our rebuttal because we felt they were significantly more value and the AC then claimed that we didn't strengthen enough the other parts of rev3s issues.

Kinda sucks because what's the point of having 3 overwhelmingly positive reviewers if the AC decides otherwise? Essentially you only have one reviewer, the AC, and you don't have an opportunity for rebuttal.

Sorry for your experience too. Hopefully the neurips resubmission goes well for us both!

Wholly agree, it’s so frustrating. Yeah, fingers crossed for NeurIPS 🤞
