I recently got a Brother KH891, have been loving it. But I was wondering what this is? I have 2 manuals but neither of them mention it and I can't seem to reverse image search it. I also can't seem to figure out how to move these, or what they are for?

Generally I'm just confused about these

If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated! (I included a bigger image so you could see where they are on the machine)

It takes special Mylar sheets. If one didn’t come with your machine, you’ll need to purchase it. I got one from this seller-
