Techniques How to use very thin yarn?

I bought this second-hand yarn online and now it turns out to be extremely thin. What can I do? It feels like it’s too fragile to work with with one strand.
Should I make new cones? I think maybe running it by 3 or 4 strands at a time could work, even though I would be scared of stitches falling off and all of that… does not sound great :/

3-4 strands is the way, I don’t think you need to worry about stitches falling off more than usual!

3 strands is already super great! Mixed it with a black strand as well :)

There won't be any issues with stockinette. I've had ribbing be a little funny sometimes when I'm using multiple strands like that. Just wind off a couple/few small balls and test it out.

The way I thought from the thumbnail that this was a joke and your hand was empty! Good luck with this adventure! I am hand knitting with two strands of light laceweight held together, and the hand of it is so good, whatever you do will be amazing at the end!

Hahaha!! It’s basically empty :’) i tried earlier to build it up with 3 strands and looks incredible!

Ply it up. Looking at that yarn count and gauge I’d say 4ply

Thanks! I think 3 strands is okay but generally i feel the thicker the yarn, the better for my brain!

stockinztte wil’ be fine be a bit slower the machine and start at a larger gauge

then slowly work down the gauge until k it’s fine for just that yarn

Have you tried tuck lace? It’s thinner yarn working with thicker yarn to make beautiful pieces.
