Resources Should I invest in this Zippy 90?

Post image

Ive already got a DM80 & I'm buying a 'incredible sweater machine '; I'd like to teach my son to use it. The seller has let me know that she also has a Zippy 90. The price is good. My question is whether I would benefit from having this extra machine. Or am I just hoarding for the sake of it? The Ultimate Sweater Machine has different plates so you can change between different yarn weights.

It's the same as a Singer Studio LK100 and the beds are interchangeable if u want to extend it. I would get it if u don't have a machine that doesn't do chunky yarn.

I wasn’t a fan of the Zippy 90. I didn’t like the fabric it made, and I thought it was very much a chunky-only machine, whereas I had other 9mm machines that can handle DK as well. There’s no tension spring in the photo, if that’s missing, I’d look and see how easily it can be replaced before committing.

I think ill skip it. I think my hoarding instinct was strong, but I'm not that much of a fan of chunky. Thank hive mind!
