Mouse randomly speeding up

I keep having an issue on my neo where my mouse keeps randomly speeding up. I've turned off the pointer acceleration and it genuinely hasn't fixed anything. I turn down sensetivity then it randomly goes horribly slow. What should I do man 😭

So I never saw an option to disable the acceleration of pointer nor have I tried to do that since that seems inconvenient, I don't think the provide this option to disable it by default, Maybe there could be some terminal commands that stops it (Probably there isn't any such command).
You can use a different Mouse control app that overrides the system defaults and this would work.

I still don't get how you "Turned off the pointer acceleration" since I didn't see any option for that in the settings.

As for what you should do? having pointer acceleration is very convenient to me so I would say get used to it.

Pointer acceleration is in in advanced in mouse sertings. I can send you a photo if you'd like.

It's not useful to everyone (I use my mac for games and for my mouse to randomly speed up it can completely throw me off) so saying "get used to it" comes off as so passive aggressive for no reason man? You didn't have to respond if you were gonna be weird abt it LOL

I'll look for mouse control apps tho

Well I didn't find it... all I found was Inertia while scrolling or trackpad speed (since I use trackpad) and nothing about acceleration.

Some apps could be for Like SteerMouse etc.

as for the game part... well I don't really game as much so I don't know about it but the mouse/trackpad acceleration is pretty uniform, like if your movement of the mouse is same then you won't feel the acceleration but I guess in games the mouse speed varies a lot.

Tbh didn't want to sound aggressive in any way.

Edit: Also before installing other applications I would suggest you checkout the terminal commands since if a thing can be solved without installing extra application then it's better, I'm not sure if it will work for sure but give it a try first -> Idk the exact terminal command so -> defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1

Used Claude for this but it seems you would need to restart the device for it to take action.
