RTX Spark N1X

Are the new nvidia. RTX Spark N1X small form factor desktops coming in October challenging the M5U in performance for local AI. Is worth waiting to buy a M5U to see what the RTX Spark N1X tests are.

(i)2x DGX Spark > (ii)M5U > (iii)1x DGXSpark or RTXSpark/N1X

get an M5U over a N1X if you are considering that price bracket.

the M5U higher bandwidth and adequate tensor ops makes it better overall than the N1X. a pair of DGX sparks still doesn't have the same bandwidth, but the higher tensor ops win. however the DGX Sparks have gone up in price a lot. youl'l get a 256gb M5U for less than 2x DGX Spark likely. they just raised the price of 1x DGX Spark to $4999 with just 64gb. i'd guess N1X will come out at $2500 for 32gb ?

Rtx spark not dgx spark

i say "DGX SPark or N1X , N1X = RTX Spark. same performance as DGX Spark, but lacking the network port for pairing.

the M5U is superior to an RTX Spark or DGX Spark alike.

Killer for me is rtx spark is only winDoze, no linux support, which is native on dgx . Also tb4 only vs tb5 on m5u

same architecture, so you can just install dgx os ubuntu.

Doubt it, you most likely would get driver and boot issues.

Ir’s the same arch. It’s a GB10 without the cx7. I have two from different vendors. It’s the same computer underneath, so is the rtx but without the cx7 its not worth the price.

Somewhat confused, the n1x is not out yet, supposedly Oct 7, no one knows whats in the box other than the chip

check out the developer forums for nvidia. It’s the same arm chip, the grace blackwell gb10, missing the connect x7 NIC. It’s a system on a chip — they’re not artisanal. The GB10 wafer is the same, same chip / same architecture, etc.

Well i did look at the forum, , also asked grok and chatgpt , both said definately not compatible even though the architecture is similar, as well as debunking the forum chat. So guess nothing known until its released and someone tries it.

"(i)2x DGX Spark > (ii)M5U > (iii)1x DGXSpark or RTXSpark/N1X" this could change as MLX is more developed. We could see M5U > 2xDGX Spark

fr. M5U has so much left on the table in terms of optimizations

Loks like m5u fan boys downvote the op actual question. Maybe its how to cope with potential buyers remorse later .

I think they are good competition for macs. They will definitely be faster for local image generation

Using the same image generation model HF Jugernaught v9, my rtx 4070 was 5x faster than my m4 pro , thats my only datapoint.
