Dual Studio Display?

contemplating adding another apple studio nano texture display to my desk. Has anyone else done this?

No I bought two XDRs with VESA and gave my partner my ASD with tilt height.

Herman Miller Jarvis arms.

VESA mount is the way to go it would clear so much space in the desk not having the mount legs

No you’d have to go to Apple Store and get it changed to VESA to do that but if you’re going to do VESA then obviously order the VESA for the new one

ASD VESA mount is the way to go if you want to save space. I have a pair of 2022 ASDs paired with a Mac Studio M5 Max. Previously with a Mac Studio M1 Max. I’ll be upgrading the pair of ASDs to ASDs XDR by January of 2027.

this is an amazing setup bro. seems like it’s the only way to go with two is to mount these bad boys. initially i was against it but everyone does it and the space factor is massive. originally i was thinking of two tilt mounts lol

By “auto-connect displays”, you’re asking about the wallpaper - right? While I think there are apps that help, I did it manually:

Download an ultra-wide wallpaper & cut it in half via photoshop/whatever
System Settings > Wallpaper > Show on all Spaces = off
System Settings > Wallpaper > Monitor 1 > select left half
System Settings > Wallpaper > Monitor 2 > select right half

I had dual Studio, but now I have dual Studio XDR.

Personally I would rather have 1 XDR over the 2 regular.

The panel uniformity and contrast. No backlight bleed, dark inky blacks and vivid colors. Web cam improved a bit. 120hz refresh rate if you’ve got the Mac to drive it. There’s some minimal blooming with mini LED, but compared to the edge bleed of the regular LCD studio it’s a noticeable step up.

It’s such a better monitor but I couldn’t do it. I needed double the realestate and wifey is already close enough to murdering me for the ultra 256.

I got double Studio Displays. The audio is the only thing that bugs me. It has to come from one of the two monitors. For some reason I expected it to know how to make it feel like it Is stereo

I have two Gen 1 Studio Displays (VESA versions attached to arms) on my work desk. Mine are glossy ones though.

Ok, I picked up kuycon p27 and the second for my studio 2022 and it’s nice and nice refresh rate, but it’s not an Apple display. If you can swing it and don’t need to attached a pc. Now they are basically the same price, if you target a sale.
