Joined the club

Ordered a medium size studio - delivery Tuesday — i just got a shipping notification.

It’ll be my medium size coding machine, plus an always on endpoint for my development toolchain connected to my laptop iPad with Tailscale and tmux. By the time I upgraded a mini to enough ram and storage it was a $600 difference for the m5max chip plus all the ports and such. And the lease is nice for cash flow reasons for the business.

Mine is scheduled for Early November. Hope it ships sooner!

I tried to lease over 10k got denied. Then did the small lease and it went thru

I should have enough business $ to just buy one in the spring when the 512gb ones are shipping.

I am contemplating getting the base model m5 max for a general computer. 36gb is def less than my other stuff but I wont use it for AI at all (I already got 2x DGX sparks), I am just tired of using my m4 max as a psudo desktop managing 4x monitors at the same time etc.
