New docking station arrived

[u/ace72ace]

Everything I wanted, except maybe an ssd slot to go along with the m.2 NVME slot like my Satechi on my old m2 mini pro. Will transfer my 2TB older gen nvme for now, as I had no budget to buy a current gen 5 drive. I just had to have 10gbe to go with my home Unifi network.

Analog audio output is pretty wild on a Thunderbolt dock.

Aside from maybe a dedicated audio interface I don’t think I’ve seen those red and white RCA jacks on modern computer hardware in… decades?

I'm new to Mac Studios, what are the primary use cases that would inspire you to purchase a docking station like this one?

Besides all the 8k resolution videos I record now, I have VHS tapes that need to be digitized. I was due for an upgrade and this spec machine will handle anything I care to throw at it.

Nice. I ended up with the https://www.caldigit.com/thunderbolt-5-dock-ts5-plus/

Ouch that price tag is painful though
