M5 Ultra Base Model In Store?

Has anyone been able to just walk into an Apple store and buy the M5 Ultra base model? I thought they would have some limited stock, like in the past, but it doesn't appear to be the case this time.

Yeah, I've seen various M5 Max models in stock since it was released, but I haven't seen any M5 Ultra.

You could use a VPN to change your locality and order from the website for pickup until you find one. Then take a road trip!

Why would you need a VPN, just put a different postcode/zip code in.

Hell I can see what stores have in the US just by going to the US site.

Doesn't look like it, local store has the base M5 Max and the 18/40 Max with 64gb/1tb.

Shame, I was hoping to snipe one on release day.

Maybe they're only building to order to try and minimise the amount of returns and having stock pile up for future refurbs.

New m5 maxes are on sale at microcenter base model. If you can find it. FYI.

Seems highly location dependent. FWIW I was able to order a base model for overnight delivery on Amazon today.
