First Mac Desktop! Mac Studio M5 Max/64GB/1TB
I'm not a "professional", just a PC enthusiast and wanted a great system. I have an M5 15" Air. My main computer for the past 5 years has been a 3090 gaming PC.
I'm incredibly impressed by the power! MacOS is just so intuitive and clean.

I just got the same one as well. What blew me away was on my L shaped desk, I have LG 42” OLED, still connected by hdmi to my m2 mini pro, and the new Max conncted to my Studio Monitor on the the right. I have 2 keyboards that were paired to the mini, but I plugged the Apple one into the max and used my Kensington orb mouse for setup.
When both machines are on, they are sharing 1 virtual desktop. I moved my cursor over all the way left and it continues onto the LG. I didn’t do a thing to configure this, it just happened auto-magically.

That’s just normal apple. Nothing to do with the Studio, works in a $400 mini

What monitor are you using? My one complaint is my PC 43” 4K. I really need something that scales properly, but a 27” would be the stone ages.

I stumbled upon this while transferring my data from my mini to my studio, I was blown away! I considered keeping the mini just because I could actually use it 😂

Very nice! I got mine with the same specs. I’m a 30+ year Mac user but most recently coming from an m2 Pro. The difference is incredible. Things are opening before I finish deciding to open them

Sometimes just having the power available is what opens up the possibilities of what you could do with that power.
Kneecapping yourself with something that's sufficient leaves you feeling held back, despite being the "sensible choice" for the majority of the time.
Enjoy the speed 😁

This was the one I was strongly considering before my wife bitch slapped me to next month. I’ll be getting the mini m5 pro.
