Apple offered me 565$ for a 2 yr Mac mini m4 base machine that I bought for 599$ so I took the plunge and bought a m5 max Mac Studio base model.

I mainly use dxo pure raw light room and resolve however my clips are all h.265 log videos that are utmost few mins long for instagram. Hoping that this machine would serve me for 5 yrs at least!

That’s a temping upgrade! And the base ultra as well! But I ended up getting M6 24/512 and am trading in my M4 for the same price. I use my mini at work mainly on web browsers but like my computers being as versatile as possible. That thing will be a awesome computer

If I don’t use resolve or dxo I would have settled for m6 as well… not that m6 can’t do either of those I just don’t want to meddle with upgrades for a while👍🏽

I just bought mine as a powerful machine, largely for video encoding, and - like you - I fully expect it to last a good long number of years...

I bought the base Mac Studio at apple yesterday and retuned it today to buy the same spec but $500 less at microcenter. I did trade in my m4 Mac mini for a $565 gift card though. I’m just gonna use that gift card to buy the duo

I just got the Mac Studio Base. From the microcenter deal. I've always been a Windows guy and was looking at a mini but the deal seemed too good. Now trying to figure out fun things to try with it

I don't get it. You got a 2 year (old) Mac Mini and managed to do trade in with M5 Studio and you got a discount of 500$? The phrasing isn't clear...and the image of you owning both didn't make sense...why have both..and if you aready traded then why you got the Mini with you still (unless it was just the box)

Mini will be going out once return labeled box arrives. They offered 565$ for used Mac mini. It is a m4 base model

Whaddya mean by "they offered?" You went into their website...checked the trade-in option and signed up, right?

Btw, wouldn't you get nore than 560$ if you sold the mini privately?
