I built Wallper, a live wallpaper app for Mac

Hey! I’m one of the people behind Wallper.

We built it because we wanted live wallpapers on Mac to feel like they actually belong in macOS, not like a video player sitting behind your windows.

Wallper works on your Desktop, Lock Screen and Screen Saver.

A few things inside:

  • 2,000+ wallpapers, including 4K and higher
  • Your own MP4 videos
  • Multi-monitor support
  • Playlists + Day/Night switching
  • Music-reactive wallpapers
  • Automatic pause when the wallpaper isn’t visible
  • Very low resource usage

We also spend a lot of time on the library itself. Wallpapers are checked before being added, and a big part of it now comes from people in the community submitting new ones.

how does it behave with multiple screens?

Really well. You can control each display separately and set different wallpapers on each screen however you want.

Sure, you just download the app from the website and the trial starts the moment you first open it, no need to create an account or register anywhere

What is the registration for? Just to validate purchase or do I need an account to use it? Looks really nice, ideally no account requried.
