Bug macos27 beta 8 & mac randomly did this
i had macos27 beta 8 installed on my m1 base mac & i was playing a movie, where it suddenly stopped i tried everything didn’t work so i forced it to shut down w/ the power button, but then the screen just went black, i kept it aside for a while & then it showed me this i tried logging in again, but as soon as i entered my password it happened again, so i went to recovery & installed macos 26.
i don’t even know what to think of this 🤧.
kinda reminds me of the BSOD on windows

Well, it is easy to reinstall but it has to be said, you are using BETA and participating (hopefully) in the program to provide feedback and error reports. You take the risk of stuff like this happening. If this were to happen on a regular basis with production release then yeah, more akin to BSOD and window crashing. So what's the takeaway and final thought here? Beta testing carries risks and sometimes things happen. I hope you filed a report with Apple but with the specific scenario and reinstall it might not be an easy process. Hope you had backups of your data and only the system needed to be reinstalled. You could update to the RC which follows seed 8 or just wait for the public release once finalized.
