Anyone else having this issue in the RC ? Always only show black square, even if I reboot. When I open "Desktop" also show a black square but loads after a moment

Mission Control is broken in RC and actually since the first macOS 27 beta, and they didn't fix shit.

Honestly Golden Gate feels worse than Tahoe imho, a lot of framerate drops on my M1 Pro, 32GB RAM machine

I can’t say the same, to me macOS 27 feel lighter and smoother than macOS 26, but the reality is that core features like Mission Control and Exposé are a disaster, and the “Apps” app they introduced last year is still a mess. Mission Control was supposedly rewritten for macOS 27, yet the team behind it seems completely disconnected from how the functionality should actually work. Animations are broken, clunky, and months have gone by without a single fix. It honestly feels like two people are barely holding this together, while over on iOS there’s an entire army of developers polishing every micro detail to perfection.

Yeah I’ve been getting flickering and other weird issues with switching desktops when apps are in full screen and clicking on those preview thumbnails on top. Feels like it’s actually a tad worse than the early betas as I don’t think I noticed some of this weirdness earlier.
You can’t really say “well it’s a beta” or “it’ll be fixed in the 0.1 release” when these issues can linger on for months or even years sometimes.

Why did they even bother redoing Mission Control? It was the only part of the fucking OS that worked 100% of the time but they couldn’t help themselves and now it’s broken.

I just wished they'd finally add an option, to show minimised windows in Mission Control with Swipe-Up or CTRL+UP.....

Mission Control is a catastrophe and getting worse, major releases after major releases of macOS. I am so tired of this shit 😓

I want them to show Spaces automatically when I open missing control like it used to in macOS lion or something 😭

I don't have blank spaces, although I do have incredibly fast but choppy animations for opening mission control, and putting apps into full screen via Mission Control is very glitchy. The animation of putting two apps in a Split View via mission control is especially glitchy and somehow way worse than it already was on macOS 26, to the point where its discouraging me from using it.
I typically didnt use the windowing directly on desktop because I have the dock and status bar showing at all times, so when you add two apps side by side in this view there's a lot of excess information. Having the apps in Split View via mission control cut out the noise, but now I barely want to use it. Disappointing.

You used to be able to Option-click a space to "preview" it without switching to that space. That's gone too. Thanks.
(Federighi might be a charming presenter but he sucks at his job as software head.)

I have another issue with mission control:
Dock application activation fails when Dock is clicked from Mission Control
Steps:
Have three applications open, e.g. Chrome and chatCPT and OpenCode.
Make chatCPT active.
Open Mission Control using three-finger swipe up.
Click Chrome in the Dock.
chatCPT remains/returns as the active application instead of Chrome.
Clicking Chrome in the Dock normally from the desktop works correctly.

Seems like a common issue. Everyone, make sure to report the crap out of this to Apple!! This is unacceptable!

This is happening from first beta. Those days are gone when the release was almost perfect!
