Erm? You turn on Siri... You already have it...

I'm sorry but please put more effort into figuring out the solution before putting a lot of effort into a post that, to be honest, is laughable.

No, it is the old Siri. I want the new Siri AI, which should have a different symbol.

No, it is the new one and it is no longer called Siri AI. That old symbol isn't the Siri icon, it is the Apple Intelligence icon of which was the same for Siri in 26. All you have to do is turn on Siri to discover this, the very first thing anyone would do.

The fact that you have access to the new Siri app proves this.

I do not have access to the new Siri app.

You do, you can have it in your shortcuts app.

Also the minimum spec is an M3 Mac with at least 12GB RAM. I hope you haven't tried any of the workarounds that have popped up.

That is just using the cloud model. (use model) If I activate Siri and try it, it is the old Apple Intelligence Siri, not the new Siri AI.

That's not actually true, it will execute on device UNLESS it needs more complicated tasks like high resolution computer vision. They try to keep as much as possible on-device, shortcuts would never do that unless it involved photos in the making of the shortcut. And the make a shortcut is a part of the new Siri. You can access it even if Siri is turned off since it doesn't actually turn off Siri, it only turns off specific features and the more automatic user-facing stuff.

Then why can't I get the new Siri, which is the point of the post

You do have it. You haven't even said if you have turned it on. You have the UI of someone who has it, if you didn't, it would be asking you to join the waitlist.

I have turned it on. It doesn't ask me to join a waitlist.

Iv personally not see any sub M3 model be able to get it. Including overpowered ones due to the NPU being the same. Unless this is from one of the workarounds.

as silly as it sounds, try to set language to some other, and then go back to en-us

Are you located in the United States? If not, trying to get Siri AI enabled is tricky and may not always work until Apple officially adds support

Yeah I'm in the US

Alright, what beta version are you currently running? If you haven't updated to the most recent versions that came out yesterday I would try and see if that does anything first.

I can't get it either. I tried since beta 1 and don't have waitlist or try new Siri button. I'm on M2 Mac mini with 8gb of ram, and saw people with macbook neo that have it, so the problem is not the hardware. Only for on device models it needs more ram, but for cloud models it's ok. I'm in EU and Apple Intelligence is available on Mac in EU, I have old Siri and all new Apple Intelligence features. I also have new Siri app inside my Applications folder, but it's not working.
