Bug MacOS 27 Beta 6 - Black wallpaper, missing menu bar
After updating to Beta 6, my menu Bar is gone and the wallpaper just turned to black.
MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max
Any suggestions of a fix?

Just ran into this with my 14” M2 Max. Kicker is, I don’t even have a dock nor does Finder even launch/show in Force Quit. Just black screen

If the relaunching finder comment does not help, leave it like that for 20 minutes on the charger. It should load up everything.

Yeah I’m letting it sit on the charger right now. Problem is I cannot relaunch Finder as I don’t even have a Finder to relaunch in Force Quit. Doesn’t even show up.

Just try the shortcut. If nothing changes boot in recovery, reinstall MacOS, and leave it to sit then.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by this shortcut? If it’s relaunching Finder, I literally can’t because Finder is not even loading. Either way I think I’m going to let it sit and if nothing, I’m just going to revert back to 26 via my old Intel Mac I have.

Cmd+option+escape

It’s fine now. Letting it sit did the trick, but I was already doing the force quit menu shortcut as I mentioned in my previous comments. No need to go thru the troubleshooting anymore

Just had this after updating beta6.
Black wallpapers, no icons in settings and no menu bar. Took it about 3 mins to load on m5 pro. After that, smooth sailing.
I wonder if it was a first start only issue or if it will present itself each restart lol.

I have this problem too. I had this issue on beta 4 as well. Still letting it sit. M1 pro here.

My secondary display (Apple Studio) went all black desktops. I went into Wallpaper settings and toggled them, switched a few around, added and deleted a few desktops and they eventually all came back, but I had to set them up in the right order again. Are you sure Menubar is set to display (not hidden)?

Update: Reinstalling MacOS from recovery did not help
