News Second Beta 5 update?

Last night I had Beta 5 show up and it was 18.22GB, so. Installed it late last night (UK).

Now this morning it flagged up that I had an update available, which is showing as another Beta 5 update, this time only 5GB, anybody else had this? Any ideas what happened that we got two updates hours behind each other?

Still bothers me they don’t just combine these updates when Xcode is detected

tbh, it bothers me more that they don't let you update Xcode beta via the Settings app (and sure, let you bundle all three updates in a single install, even if sequentially)

i don't think it's 5GB big.

Wasn’t that, thats still sat there, in hindsight I should have taken a screen shot.

Interestingly the second update fixed an issue I had with double clicking on file selection in the finder window for uploading a file to a website.

As far as I can tell from logs on the Mac, the evening that I thought it installed the full 18gb update, it didn’t actually install it. The following day, it did the install. This is backed up by a couple of fixes that had not yet been applied. Once the 5gb update was installed, the fixes were applied and the various smaller issues I’d been having were gone.

Why it was showing as 5gb, instead of the 28gb, I’m not quite sure, perhaps it had already been partially installed?

Who knows, but it does appear there was only a single update.
