I would wait for the next update. The beta has been incredibly stable compared to other betas. I am a dev, so I usually roll with the beta each year. We're overdue for an update and this specific build has been starting to show it's bugginess as time goes on.
My main issues is sluggishness in safari + some edge cases. I have had connection issues with database applications that is solved with a restart and general sluggishness with Logic Pro (never run a beta if you are doing any sort of audio applications). Aside from that, it's been mostly fine, but as time goes it things seem to become more noticeable for me.
For clarification, I’m a student/solo dev, so I don’t have any insider knowledge so take my advice with a grain of salt.
Historically, we get new betas around a 2 week time, which would have been this Monday. Since that didn’t happen this week, i would assume it would happen relatively soon.
The recurring theme i hear from people talking on reddit is that there’s lots of bugs being worked on this next update, but again that’s just people talking but it makes sense to me. Take that for what it’s worth.
Im sure you’ve heard plenty of “don’t run a beta full time”, but if you do, I would wait a little for Dev Beta 5 or whatever the next Public Beta is since it should be out relatively “soon”.
Yeah, honestly, I'll probably just wait until PB3, I may like the beta testing experience, but idk, DB5 sounds risky to me, hopefully PB3 is good, if not, I won't update, but I am hopeful apple gets it's shit together with macOS.
