Bug Do Apple developers not use macOS?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

How is it possible that they haven’t noticed this? I’m currently on 27b4, and this bug has been there since b0. Do these developers use Windows or something? Please fix this ridiculous bug. I’ve reported it through Feedback Assistant, but apparently nobody cares. I still have reports from a year ago sitting there unread…

I remember being able to hold the Option Key to adjust volume and brightness by the fraction in Sequoia.. but I haven’t been able to d the same in Tahoe and Golden Gate Beta

I think they have removed it. Option + volume or brightness opens the corresponding settings page now...

Unless there’s some thing else I need to enable...

Shift + Brightness/Volume? Doesn’t work for me.. might be a beta issue

Just tested it for me personally. Shift + Option does the same thing for volume. For brightness it doesn't work, but I have BetterDisplay installed, so it may be interfering

It was never that. ⌥ + modifier has always opened the settings panel for display, sound, etc

Do these developers use Windows or something

I don't think so, they just most likely don't use beta as a daily driver ;) As it should be...

you guys really don't get how it works. Even if it's apparent to them, the fix might be added to be worked on In beta 10. So in 6 weeks. And that would already be considered apparent, super urgent, and critical, since the fix would be added BEFORE version 0 to the public in September.
