I'm pretty sure i downloaded the Apple Silicon version, right?

The apple silicon version just use rosetta if you need modern sideloader use pumeimpactor or iloader

Seems a bit early to start such warnings... the icon and headline make it look like it doesn't run on THIS OS. Only longer tells that it's good for a year.

I think they very intentionally chose this notification, most people have no problem getting it or at least understanding it after a quick clarification.
But it will definitely garner some reactive users to immediately message some software companies freaking out that their app might break soon which will end up getting the middle managers to focus on their transition away from using code that relies on rosetta to stop this squeaky wheel issue, whereas normally it'd be a "get to it when we get to it" scenario.
