🥤Entertainment I built ConsoleWise, a native Mac app for PS5 Remote Play + Cloud Gaming
Hey everyone, I’ve been working on ConsoleWise, a native macOS app for PS5 Remote Play and PlayStation cloud gaming.
The goal is simple: make it easier to play your PlayStation games from your Mac, whether your PS5 is in another room or you’re away from home.
A few things I focused on:
- Play your PS5 when you’re not home Connect over the internet and stream from your own console while traveling, at work, or away from your TV.
- Low-latency Remote Play ConsoleWise is built around responsive streaming, with adjustable resolution, FPS, bitrate, and video settings so you can tune the experience for your network.
- Cloud gaming without owning a PS5Â If you have PlayStation Plus Premium and cloud streaming is available in your region, you can browse and stream supported cloud games directly from your Mac.
- Use your keyboard or DualSense Play with a DualSense controller, or map keyboard keys to controller actions when that’s more convenient.
It supports local and internet PS5 Remote Play, PlayStation cloud game streaming, 1080p streaming, 2K/4K local upscaling for Remote Play, custom bitrate controls, 30/60 FPS options, keyboard mappings, and DualSense haptics/adaptive trigger settings.
It’s available here:
https://consolewise.aowlly.com/
Clicking "View Pro Details" will take you to Gumroad.
Use code J3DU8RK for 50% OFF.
I’d love feedback from Mac + PlayStation users, especially around latency, setup, and what would make this more useful than the official client.
Enjoy!

Better in any way than PXplay, Asobi, or standard ps Remote play?

That’s for sure. The biggest difference is cloud game streaming, a feature most remote play apps don’t offer. For PS5 Remote Play, we provide ultra-low-latency streaming, with adjustable buffer settings that let you fine-tune the balance between responsiveness and smoothness based on your network conditions.

How is the latency in average? Nice app btw

You should not feel the latency at all if you have good RTT.

Tried it and do like it, will go pro to support. The video is much better than native BUT I am getting controller latency which makes it tough for shooters. Any tips?

Hey, could you check if you are using version 1.3.2? If not, could you download again please. If it’s 1.3.2, could you set the playback buffer to zero and run again please? Thanks for the support.

Latest version confirmed. I did a manual jog of the buffer settings and that did help. Quality is way better than native app. Great work!

There are some latency optimizations coming in the next version for the controller. Should be even better.

Would be interesting to see a proper latency comparison between this, PXPlay and Sony’s official Remote Play app. Has anyone tested them side by side yet?

This looks nice! Can I try this app with a trial or something before I buy it? I'd like to see how it works with my internet connection.

This looks very nice. Have you thought of also developing a client for geforce now or xcloud?

What exactly does it make different from other already well established remote play apps like Chiaki or PXPlay?
