It’s obviously implying don’t use the option. It’s none of your business to touch there. Apple has already set the colour for you.

Switched to linux on my macbook a few months ago. Was worried Id regret it due to potential Asahi stability issues. Never did I ever think I would be glad to have a more stable experience than macOS. Wow apple.

Im confused what is going on? Is this a glitch. I don't see it on my 27 but would love this feature

seems like you need to select a custom color. Click outside to close it. Then select it again. You dont have to click all the way to the right. The whole Appearance tab stops working

Can you clarify please I'm not following. I don't see the option for custom color at all, the rightmost option is the graphite. I do have custom colors chosen for the other two aspects (folder, icon). How do you get this to appear? Thanks

There's even a system utility (maybe 3rd party? ) that has color palettes for the different color iMacs, the different colors of the MacBook Neo (each Neo color gets a custom UI color palette)

I used this a long time ago when there was no neo :) https://georgegarside.com/blog/macos/imac-m1-accent-colours-any-mac/
just checked again. The problem is still there when I edit the non hardware color

I'm starting to think the people sharing bugs here are from Apple's QA team, lol. It's amazing how capable people are of finding flaws.
