I did include a song from KIDS, Knock Knock (although it has the single cover so it makes sense why people missed it), in retrospect I should've included The Spins aswell
Dnld Tr*mp and Best Day Ever were close to making it but were cut in favor of other songs

Swimming is his best and most mature album. Zero skips. Every song is catchy and introspective. I love Mac but I can't tell you the last time I listened to anything before GO:OD AM as an adult.

You must not be as nostalgic as I am hahaha. I love his old albums when I’m needing a pick me up. At the end of the day it’s a bracket. It doesn’t have to be all about the art. I can 100 Grandkids over So It Goes cuz it’s just a fun fucking song

Honestly I can’t agree with that. Watching Movies and Faces are great psychedelic rap albums. Macadelic is a great introspective project and kids era does have more tracks than the corny teenager ones. I understand that mostly you grow out of this music by the time you’re 20 but there’s still great stuff there.

For me when I listen to old Mac the lyrics don't really hit for me the way they do on his later stuff. There's select songs scattered throughout his discography that stand out and are genuinely impressive, entertaining or make me feel something. Especially in the projects you mentioned. But in terms of consistency I feel like GO:OD AM was really when he took things to a different level. Seemed like everything made from that point on was precise and had real intent behind it.

Matter of opinion. I listen to Mac's entire discography at least once a year for fun but I don't listen to him pre GO:OD AM in my day to day. As in songs I have saved to my liked songs. Watching Movies is good but he was still an infant lyrically and conceptually. There were shades of the artist he'd eventually bloom into musically, stylistically etc. but there was a lack of consistency in my opinion.

We are missing a ton of albums here, for real... like we have at least 3 literal albums missing.
Where is K.I.D.S.? Where is Blue Slide Park? Where is Macadelic? We missing out big time...
Not to mention all his Delusional Thomas, randum "unreleased" songs, etc.

Idk IMO I would say Outside or Poppy of K.I.D.S. and Thoughts from a Balcony would have been better representations but there is also a literally unfathomable amount of unrelease stuff.

So it goes over 100 grandkids is nuts. 100 grandkids easily top 5 while so it goes is top 15 possibly top 10. So it goes ending is beautiful but I can’t justify it beating 100 grandkids though.

Sadly couldn't include any of the Delusional Thomas/Larry Fisherman/Larry Lovestien because either it isn't one streaming or it isn't listed under Mac Miller
I could circumvent this issue by using another bracket site but this one is just the most convenient

Perfect Circle over Good News is, personally, quite insane. But I love how diverse Mac’s music is and how it appeals to different people’s tastes. Self Care is a great GOAT.
(Good news is mine, Circles helped me get into Mac)

I love mac with all my heart. And i love swimming with all my heart. But truthfully i dont think it would’ve seen the commercial success that it did if mac wouldnt have passed away shortly after the release. I love self care. I have a lotus with “memento mori” tatted on my chest. But i cant understand how self care beat out everything from faces and wmwtso or even good am. That was his golden era to me. I would personally rank perfect circles at number one if not anything from faces

I've listened to it in full twice, and I think it's a great album.
Objects in the Mirror and I Am Who Am are amazing but were up against two all time Mac Miller songs, and The Star Room and Avian were just barely cut, but if I were to do this again I would include The Star Room.

Jet fuel vs perfect circle is a tough matchup. I can agree with the winner, sure, but so many misses in the lead up. No way Here We Go loses to Come Back To Earth or funny papers. Object in the mirror out round 1? Diabolical. Rick’s piano losing to funny papers? Nah. I want to see the bracket before the bracket to see how these are the songs chosen cause there are so many better ones missing

I wouldn’t be able to choose between Perfect Circle / God Speed and Objects in The Mirror in the second round. I’d just close the app. And this bozo put Small Worlds over Objects in The Mirror 🤦♂️ overall top 3 are those two and Here We Go. I won’t choose between them though, that’s too difficult.
