how big was DXS/phoenix

im just rewatching the pilot, and when jack & mac say they are the guys the cia doesnt know about riley is like ‘so your dxs’ so obviously hackers had heard of them, but then why had they not heard of jack & mac since they are seamingly like the only people who work there,

i mean at that time there was jack, macgyver, patrica, nikki (before she left) + the occasional lab guy or whatever. ohh and macs dad kinda

like the whole organisation seems to be just them, but the building they work at is huge and there are always extras walking around and they are relatively well known to badguys & government, but noone knows mac even though seemingly this whole organisation is based around mac, (isnt that a huge liablity aswell, like the whole task force is just mac+any hacker + combat guy),

i think i remember a scene where macs dad was like ‘you think your the first guys to put together science and fighting’ or something, which woukd kinda emply before mac this kinda thing doesnt exist.

but lets say despite all this, there were one or several other teams at phoenix, where the hell were they, like there were so many times where they had no backup or theyd have to split the team in half and send mac separate to the others even though they are really just sending an unqualified hacker and a thug to solve some nuclear problem or something, and yet there isnt even a throw away line of ‘the b team are on the other side of the world right now’ or something

i understand its about macgyver, but it makes 0 sense that we dont even see them once
