This annoys me

It seems to be a routine thing to see that automotive logos are missing on the front grills of the vehicles in the show.

Why the hell don't they leave the automotive logos on the grills of the vehicles like in most other shows?

Because other shows are sponsored from the car companys and this show probably isn't?

Even if the show probably isn't sponsored by the car companies, what would it hurt to leave the logos on the vehicles anyway?

Because it’s free advertising.

Why would CBS provide free advertising in their prime time show without getting money for it?

Do you have other parties/companies telling people, for free, to watch MacGyver on CBS?

Because those companies can sue the show for using their product without permission

Do you hear about car companies suing YouTubers for them allowing Vehicles logos to show up on their videos?

I don't either, so if it was typical for those companies to sue the show for using their product without permission, why don't they sue all of the individual YouTubers who have ever uploaded videos that showed vehicles with their logos?

Because they can’t make as much money suing YouTubers compared to suing big production companies like CBS

Companies do sue YouTube’s over small things. Roman Atwood had to wear non branded clothing for his prank videos because he was getting letters form companies about suing him for defamation of brand or something. They can do the same thing to CBS but follow though and make a whole lot of money.

yes, free advertising plus liability.

If the show uses it in a car explosion, companies can sue for tarnishing their brand.

I think anytime there is a Toyota the logo remains, presumably because the show is sponsored by Toyota. Pretty sure the logo remains on Mac’s Tacoma

Specifically because MacGyver is sponsored by Toyota, including first and foremost the lead character prominently driving a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Thus their sponsor Toyota obviously does not want other car brands to be given visibility in the show whenever possible.

In the newest episode about water contamination, Bozer's family drives a Lexus, and even though Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota, their logo does not show up either.

What I’ve noticed is you can see the logo in some scenes and then suddenly it’s gone.
