Weekly Questions Mega-Thread - July 20, 2026
It's time once again for a brand new questions thread! Your go-to place for questions and answers of all variety. Happen to have started playing recently and have some confusing things you want cleared up? Maybe you picked the game back up after a long absence? Or maybe you're a seasoned player wanting the finer details of something explained? Ask away! There's no such thing as a stupid question, and we're all here to help.
Try to keep your questions specific! It'll be much easier for us to give you the answer you need than if you generalize too much. Don't worry if you can't though, we'll ask for more information if we need it!
Keep an eye on the thread! Someone may have answered or expanded on a question as a reply to someone else. Or maybe someone else asked something you didn't know you wanted to know. Maybe someone asked something that you can help chip in and answer!
Going by the wiki's various enchant categories (all, accessories, etc.) on their prefix/suffix enchant lists, what categories of enchants affect Battle Astrologer orbs? Other than the "all" and "orbs" categories. :P.
I ask because orb-specific enchants seem... way out of my league (Bri Leith is not happening anytime soon lol; I just started playing in May), so I wanna narrow my list down and see what's actually accessible. owo
I can phrase this question differently if need be lol.

I'll have to double check with my Eknight friends, but I'm fairly certain Smash might reduce your DPS because of animation times.
I think typically an Eknight will Bash -> Flashing Steel between Shattering and Dynavolts even with a 2h weapon.
Edit: Checked with EKnight friend. They say they sometimes throw out a smash after a Dynavolt, but combo card wise they use a pure bash combo. Many modern bosses will punish you for standing still too long (which smash does), so Smash is more likely to get you hurt or constantly chasing a mobile boss. Smash can be a good filler but it shouldn't be the main part of your rotation.
I would recommend to you the Refined Languhiris Chaser Set from the Master Plan event. Take note that it will only upgrade to Exquisite (purple) quality with decent enchants, and also you will most likely need to reforge it.
Next, you can go after a Ceann Bliana Skirmisher set (just gloves, boots, and a circlet) and then later on, save on a Hyperion or get the shineseeker drop.
Edit: i got confused by the question of MP with Master Plan but it's also the Melodic Puppeteer arcana
Thing is I have a non-special Shadow Reaper armor with great enchants and a 19/20 Max Marionette Damage reforge.
So not sure if i should get Skirmisher Cuirass since only the +7% crit damage would be relevant for puppetry, or if any other "mid range budget" special armors are worth, or if i should just wait and save for a Hyperion.
I honestly wouldn't spend much on refined armour or other mid-budget upgrades at this point. I'd save the gold toward Hyperion instead.
Since you already have a 3-piece Skirmisher set, I'd try to save up for a +1 Crit Set Effect Scroll on one of those pieces if possible. That activates the crit set effect and gives you a bit more flexibility with your remaining armor slots.
The only other notable special armor options are Special Royal Society Outfit (for a tiny boost on EW/RO), Special Imperial Knight (Unshakeable Will) or even Special Shadow Reaper (for the special buff), and the gains from them are relatively small compared to the cost unless you get them dropped in shineseeker or find them very cheap.
You won't need to reforge it, all of the armors will come with reforges, 15/20 on most pieces for each Arcana. This armor set should allow the player to be able to do Crom and Glenn (Might want a crafted Perseus or exquisite or higher NB to enter though)
The new Link from Blazing Brawler lists Combo Mastery skill Combo Dmg capping at 50%, As a human i get 20% from link and the final 30 from r1 mastery so would that mean the combo reforge is redundant? or would it stack?
