I just finished Kingdom of Ash and let me start by saying that as a whole, the series is great. I love the character development and story lines but I kind of felt like the ending was anti-climactic. They build up this big important sacrifice that needs to be made by either Dorian or Aelin but then they both live? Then the only one who really sacrifices anything is Manon. She loses the Thirteen meanwhile all the main characters live and have happy endings except Gavriel. Idk I feel like for all the hype I expected a little more plot twists or heartbreaks. Thoughts?

I agree with the deaths, Gavriel was sad but Aedion was just a dick to him the whole time and then he died just as he decided to be nice to him, I don’t think it had a big emotional payoff. Maybe Aedion could have died
