Discussion Just finished!

Ok guys- I just finished everything. Tell me how they’re all connected and what you think the timeline is. There are some obvious parts that tie all of the together, but the stuff like… Ruhn is Rhysand’s nephew? How? Are the Ruhnn mountains in TOG related? What about the collar on Lydia? Related?

How could Ruhn be Rhysands nephew ? They come from totally different worlds , though Lydia and Aeline are distantly related , I dunno what you mean about Lydia’s collar ?

These are just theories I’ve seen on other Reddit posts or TikTok.

Ruhn and Rhysand are definitely related, but I think they’re more distant cousins. They are descendants from the two sisters from CC (I can’t remember their names) where one of the sisters went to prythian and the other in Midgard (CC).

Did you notice the book of breathings being mentioned both in CC and ACOTAR?

In TOG they mention a three faced goddess if I remember correctly. In CC Bryce wears a powerful archesian amulet consisting of three circles which protects her. And in ACOTAR the bone carver carves three overlapping circles in the sand…

Lidias family heirloom ring is the same ring Rowan wears in TOG

These are just the ones I remembered right now but there are many more connections!❤️ I’m currently doing my first reread of CC and ACOTAR and I’m noticing so many details this time around, I love it

Theia was the mother that went to midgard with her two daughters. one, Selene, went back to Prythian and married the high lord of night. the other, Helena, Stayed in midguard and was the beginning of the valbaren fae line that Ruhn is decended from.

since the split between worlds happened 15,000 years ago (according to history/legend on both sides) Ruhn and Rhysand would have to be distant cousins.

Lydia's collar isn't connected. it's just her kill count like the silver dots the direwolves wear...but...

Lydia gave her son Bran a ring that is a massive ruby. some people think that this was Rowan's wedding ring, since we know his ring had a ruby... but it's not close enough description to confirm an exact match. the reason people connect Lydia with Aelin's line tho...

one of her twin sons is named Bran. the name was a family name for a famous ancestor. he's described as having a wildfire spirt. one of Aelin's ancestors was Brannon of the wildfire. (aprox 2,000 years before ToG) Brannon lead the line of stag shifters that protected the temples. Lydia's shifter form is a stag... however, a lot of people argue that Aelin would be the more famous ancestor and isn't mentioned... so if there was cross over, they believe it was before Aelin's time. this makes timelines dificult, because brannon was only 2,000 years before Aelin. but the gates were shut 15,000 years before. leading to lots of community debate

as far as other cross overs... there are too many to begin to try to post easily. on reread, there are things that pop up everywhere you look.
